Planted Cuisine & Casamor Farms’ is happy to announce the next backyard farm to table dinner experience!
Why is it called an “experience”?
Our event is an experience because its far more than dinner…it’s an invitation to leave the city behind and step into our backyard oasis and experience a backyard farm-to-table dinner that goes beyond expectation. 95% of the ingredients will be sourced from urban farms and urban plots in the local region with many coming directly from the land where dinner will be served. Most of the produce will be sourced from Alegría Farm & Casamor Farm and farm staff from both farms will be in attendance to answer any questions you might have about where and how your food arrived on your plate. All of the food will be organic, plant-based and nearly all gluten-free (some spelt flour may be used).
Your chef for the evening (Loghan Call, Planted Cuisine), will take you through the five course tasting menu dish by dish, explaining the inspiration, where the ingredients were sourced from and the health benefits of each course.
Your evening will begin with a cocktail hour from 6-7pm with local craft beers & Biodynamic wine available for a suggested donation. Live music will be provided by Dylan Fenley during cocktail hour and farmer Ben will be on hand to show guests around the backyard farm; you’ll even have the opportunity to pick some of the food you’ll be eating an hour later! Appetizers will be served throughout cocktail hour to satisfy your taste-buds until the dinner experience begins.
Your ticket includes a five course, locally sourced & organic dinner, appetizers, and one drink (of your choice). We will have a bar available to purchase drinks (for a suggested donation) beyond the complimentary offering. We can accept cash or card (via Square).
As part of our commitment to community and a sustainable, healthy future, a percentage of the proceeds from dinner will go toward a raised garden bed install in the community surrounding Casamor Farm. These beds will be installed by the Casamor Farms’ team and the food that is grown will be available for the community to pick and enjoy. We see this as not only an opportunity to give back to our community, but inspire our fellow community members to engage and be empowered to grown their own food.
While we love surprising guests with the beauty of the property, if you’d like to see a few photo’s from our last event, be sure to check out the collection on Planted Cuisine’s Facebook Page.
Dinner will be served from 7 to 9:30pm, outside in our backyard farm. We recommend bringing layers!
See you soon,
